Our special outstanding school is constantly growing, providing a supportive, nurturing learning environment for more and more children. We are looking for an enthusiastic Teacher to join our Post-16 team in the role of Post-16 Phase Lead (Teacher).
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the Post-16 Curriculum with your Therapist Co-Lead, taking ownership of your particular professional speciality (Teaching) and ensuring the smooth running of assessments, the holistic curriculum, qualifications and pupil progress.
- Support and coordinate the students and staff on a daily basis, creating a nurturing family atmosphere with high expectations and excellent provision.
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills, inspiring, supporting and managing a multidisciplinary post‑16 team.
- Exhibit confidence, enthusiasm and a passion for learning.
Qualifications
- A relevant teaching qualification.
- Excellent English skills (clear written and spoken English) along with good reading, writing and numeracy skills.
- The ability to build good working relationships with students, teachers, parents and carers.
- The ability to work collaboratively as a member of a wider team of teachers, therapists and support staff.
- Experience of working with children with Special Education Needs (SEN), particularly children with SLCN.
- Ability to cope with mentally and physically challenging situations; mental and physical resilience necessary for all staff.
