Job Summary
Paediatric Occupational Therapist, Permanent, Full‑time role, Monday to Friday (08:30am – 17:00pm). Annual salary: Competitive Market Rate (dependent on experience). To start: September 2026.
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy to students with speech, language and communication difficulties, using a total communication approach.
- Integrate therapy and teaching throughout the school week following a trans‑disciplinary model.
- Collaborate daily with teaching and support staff, OT department, physiotherapist, specialist SPLD teachers, and art therapists.
- Support the implementation of SLT goals within the educational setting.
Qualifications
- Registered Occupational Therapist with paediatric experience.
- Additional training in Sensory Integration.
- Knowledge of clinical assessment, treatment planning and implementation of paediatric therapy programmes.
- Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of standardized assessment and clinical observation.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build good working relationships with children, teachers, parents and carers.
- Confidence, enthusiasm, mental resilience and the ability to promote positive behaviour in a nurturing environment.
