About the Role
We’re hiring our first full-time Head of Finance to take full ownership of the function replacing our part-time lead and supported by external bookkeepers and a strong finance tech stack.
This is a unique opportunity to lead a lean, high-impact finance function , working closely with the CEO and leadership team. You’ll be both operator and strategist — hands-on with day-to-day financials while shaping the long-term financial direction as we scale toward £20m+ in revenue .
️Your Mission
- Lead the finance function end-to-end from reporting and forecasting to process improvement and team oversight to support our ambition of scaling to £12m+ revenue nationally .
- Deliver clean, actionable reporting for leadership, the board, and external stakeholders while ensuring clarity, transparency, and precision.
- Own budgeting, reforecasting and financial planning , driving consistency, rigour and long-term thinking.
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations , including credit control, cashflow management, and coordination with external bookkeepers.
- Lead on audit, compliance and governance , ensuring we meet all statutory requirements and timelines.
- Partner with teams across the organisation , building clear business cases and helping leaders understand financial impact.
- Drive efficiency and scale identifying and implementing systems, tools, and processes that support long-term growth.
- Invest our funds; treasury management and investing our reserves in the most effective way allows us to make even more impact!
- Act as the lead contact for our Finance, Audit & Risk Committee (FARCom) including preparation of materials, analysis and recommendations.
About you
- ACA (or equivalent) qualified, with 2+ years PQE .
- Strong technical finance skills confident in budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial operations.
- Experienced in working with leadership teams and boards, with the ability to make finance clear and actionable at all level.
- Evidence of driving improvements whether building processes, implementing new tools, or helping teams work smarter.
- Proactive communicator and presenter with a proactive mindset someone who thrives in fast-paced, growing environments.
- Growth-oriented and outcomes-focused you care about delivering great work that compounds over time.
- Experience in a startup, scaleup, or mission-driven organisation is a plus but mindset matters most.
