About the role

You'll be joining the engine room of Bloom & Wild's fastest-growing categories. While we are known for our flowers, our Procurement team provides the operational and supply chain foundation for our non-horticultural range. From fresh-baked treats and luxury hamper components to home, lifestyle, and the essential packaging that delivers the "wow" moment.

Our team is divided into two clear pillars: Strategic Procurement and Stock Planning. As the Stock Planning Lead, you will report to the Head of Procurement & Inventory, acting as the architect of our operational procurement function and building the scalable systems we need to grow.

We are a team that "cares wildly" about impact. Working closely with partners across the business, we ensure the infrastructure is in place to support their vision. Our focus is on delivering perfect availability, optimising inventory health, and enabling rapid range expansion through robust operational processes.

What you'll be doing:

  • Build & Scale the Function: You'll be the architect of our non-horticultural stock planning strategy. This is a "build from scratch" opportunity where you will set the vision for how we scale, demonstrating the ability to turn rapid business growth into a sophisticated, high-performing operational machine.
  • Master Stock Availability: You will lead your team to ensure optimal stock levels across all sites, balancing high availability with the need to minimise waste and holding costs. Navigating multi-site space constraints, you'll work in lockstep with our Warehouse teams and Strategic Procurement Managers.
  • Develop & Automate: Build scalable, custom, automated supply chain and inventory tools and develop AI workflows to eliminate manual data entry and calculation tasks. You will lead the development of agile, spreadsheet-based solutions while mapping the transition to long-term, robust systems.
  • Process & KPI Leadership: Develop standardised processes and frameworks, leading weekly KPI reviews to shift the function from reactive problem-solving to proactive inventory and risk management.
  • Team Transformation & Development: Provide oversight, coaching, and mentorship to a team of stock planners, transitioning them from manual execution to analytical decision-making.
  • Strategic Growth & Inventory Control: De-risk new range launches by ensuring our operational infrastructure is mature enough to handle increased SKU counts. Collaborate with the commercial team to ensure right-size inventory levels and manage excess stock.
  • Operational Execution: Support with planning and execution when needed to ensure continuity, especially during peak times.
  • 3PW Performance Management: Measure and manage performance of our 3PW partner against agreed SLA terms.
  • Supplier Performance: Build internal operational performance reporting and supplier tiering, and put in place initiatives to improve supplier performance.

You'll love this role if you...

  • 5+ years experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain or supply planning, with experience leading a team.
  • Proven track record in supply chain scalability – you have experience managing exponential growth of SKUs by using technology and automation.
  • Tech-savvy and systems-oriented – strong capabilities in building automated tools using G‐suite and other platforms, leveraging AI.
  • Strong leader and mentor – excel at coaching team members and fostering a performance culture.
  • Continuous improvement mindset – adept at identifying system limitations and establishing feedback loops.
  • Proactive and hands‐on – willing to contribute directly and roll up sleeves during peak periods.
  • Commercially and data-driven – motivated by protecting margins, eliminating P&L leakage and right‐sizing inventory levels for working capital.

These are some of the skills and experience we think will enable success in this role, but we're committed to building a team made up of different strengths and experiences. If you're excited about our values and passionate about what you do, we'd love to hear from you.

Benefits:

  • Flexible working & work from abroad
  • 25 days holiday + your birthday + flexible bank holidays, & option to buy additional holiday each year
  • 1 volunteering day each year
  • Enhanced family leave and a workplace nursery scheme
  • A flexible training framework for every stage of your career
  • Irresistible discounts on our products, blooms & subscriptions!
  • Share in our success with a choice to take equity options from day 1
  • ClassPass membership: monthly credits to spend on fitness classes, yoga and more!
