Bloomfield Health is a leading provider of psychological and psychiatric care for working age adults experiencing difficulties with their mental health. We are excited to announce that we are expanding our Psychology & Psychotherapy provision and seeking a highly skilled and compassionate qualified Clinical Psychologist with current HCPC registration to join our multidisciplinary team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented and highly motivated individual to contribute to the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based psychological care for adults seeking help for a wide range of mental health challenges. We welcome applications from Clinical Psychologists currently working at NHS AfC Band 7 or Band 8a equivalent level. The scope of the role will be shaped according to experience, with opportunities for increased leadership, supervision, and service development responsibilities for more senior appointees.

Location: Hybrid working model: typically at least one day per week physically based in Central London, with the remainder of working time delivered remotely. On-site attendance is required for certain MDT meetings, service development, and in-person clinical activity, with flexibility by agreement. Candidates should be comfortable and confident working remotely and as part of a virtual MDT.
Hours: Negotiable. Minimum 0.6 WTE (3 days per week).
About the Role
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide specialist psychological assessments, formulation, and evidence-based interventions for adult patients presenting with common mental health difficulties and more complex psychological needs.
- Deliver culturally sensitive psychological interventions for patients and, where appropriate, their families.
- Undertake comprehensive and holistic assessment, including assessment and management of clinical risk, and escalate concerns in line with organisational policy.
- Develop and implement risk management plans and contribute to MDT discussions and care planning.
- The postholder will work within Bloomfield Health's clinical governance framework, with access to senior consultation and supervision for complex and high-risk presentations.
MDT, Leadership & Service Development (experience-dependent)
- Provide psychologically informed case consultation to other clinicians in the team, including Consultant Psychiatrists and therapists.
- Supervise, mentor and support other staff.
- Contribute to service development, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Actively develop and lead new care pathways aligned with individual expertise and Bloomfield Health's service priorities.
- Maintain high clinical standards and practice in accordance with professional, ethical, and regulatory guidelines.
You will report to the Director of Clinical Psychology.
Key Requirements for Applicants
- Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology.
- Current Practitioner Psychologist registration with the HCPC.
- Ability to establish and maintain high-quality therapeutic relationships with patients.
- Experience of collecting and using patient-reported outcome measures to monitor clinical progress.
- Proven experience in delivering high-quality, evidence-based psychological interventions.
- Experience of working with common and more complex mental health presentations (e.g., trauma, psychosis, personality disorder).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex and sensitive information clearly.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and manage emotionally demanding clinical work.
Desirable (Applicants are not expected to meet all desirable criteria)
- Accreditation as a cognitive behavioural psychotherapist with the BABCP.
- Experience providing psychological therapy with one or more specialist groups (e.g. eating disorders, psychosis and bipolar affective disorder, long-term physical health conditions, personality disorder, neurodivergent or neuropsychiatric presentations).
- Accreditation or postgraduate training in one or more additional therapy modalities (e.g. CBT, EMDR, DBT, DIT, IPT, MBT, Schema Therapy).
- Experience working in private healthcare settings.
- Experience across primary, secondary, and tertiary care.
- Ability to offer therapy in a language other than English.
- Experience supervising other clinicians.
- Experience delivering group-based psychological interventions.

- Competitive basic salary: 61,903.60 - 78,262.80 per annum pro rata (based on experience and seniority level). The salary range reflects our openness to appointing candidates with experience equivalent to NHS AfC Band 7 or Band 8a roles, with responsibilities and remuneration aligned accordingly.
