An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Bank Laundry Assistant to join us at Shawside Care Village!
Who we are looking for
We are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in working within a caring environment and wants to make a real difference in people’s lives. You’ll take pride in your work, have great attention to detail and help us maintain a high standard for our residents.
Previous laundry, housekeeping or care experience would be ideal, although this is not essential as full training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Washing and drying residents’ clothing, bedding and towels
- Ironing laundry where required
- Ensuring residents’ clothing is correctly labelled, organised and returned to the correct resident
- Keeping the laundry area and equipment clean and well maintained
- Following infection control and health & safety procedures
- Providing support with general housekeeping duties when required
Hours
- Bank Contract
- £12.71 per hour
