Working closely with the General Manager, you'll help lead the day-to-day running of the home, support regulatory compliance, develop your team and maintain the highest standards of care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day management of a residential care home.
  • Lead, motivate and develop care colleagues.
  • Ensure safe, high-quality, person-centred care is delivered at all times.
  • Maintain compliance with

CQC standards , safeguarding and regulatory requirements.

  • Review care plans, risk assessments and medication processes.
  • Carry out quality audits and implement continuous improvements.
  • Support recruitment, induction, supervision and staff development.
  • Manage staffing levels and rotas to ensure safe, effective care.
  • Build positive relationships with residents, relatives and healthcare professionals.
  • Support the General Manager in achieving excellent inspection outcomes and operational performance.

About You

You'll ideally have

  • Previous experience as a
  • Deputy Manager ,
  • Team Leader or

Senior Care professional within a residential or nursing care setting.

  • At least

3 years' supervisory or management experience .

NVQ Level 3 (or above) in Health & Social Care .

  • A good understanding of

CQC regulations , safeguarding and person-centred care.

  • Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
  • A positive, hands-on approach with a genuine passion for supporting older people.

An Enhanced DBS check will be required.
