The Bloomberg Global Design team is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Project Architect/Senior Interior Designer/Workplace Design Lead/Design Manager for a 12‑month contract position based in London, with responsibilities spanning the EMEA region.
This unique client-side opportunity will allow you to work on some of the most distinctive office fit‑outs worldwide, collaborating with top‑tier architectural practices and partner closely with our capital projects and facilities management teams to deliver exceptional workplace environments within a truly global organization.
We’ll Trust You To
- Support all design management activities within the EMEA region – working across capital & facilities projects as well as internal standards development & continuous improvement.
- Maintain a high standard for the quality, functionality and look and feel of all Bloomberg environments.
- Collaborate with our internal Global Design Team to develop and implement design standards, ensuring continuous innovation.
- Implement and uphold Bloomberg Standards, Processes and Procedures relevant to project planning.
- Monitor and track progress relating to project design schedule and budget.
- Ensure all projects consistently deliver brief, space planning, and designs which adhere to Bloomberg Standards, local code, real estate strategies and end‑user requirements.
- Log, review and make recommendations with regards to project design variations.
- Take the lead on managing the external workplace designer in planning and delivering design projects in accordance with our quality standards and project specific requirements.
- Track project timelines and budgets, ensuring alignment to project plans.
- Facilitate communication between internal teams and external vendors and ensure internal comments have been addressed.
- Travel within the EMEA region as required.
You Need To Have
- Minimum 7‑10 years of relevant experience as a qualified architect/interior architect or architectural design background.
- Client-side experience not necessary but welcomed.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
- Proven experience in workplace design and project management.
- Strong understanding of architectural and interior design standards.
- Excellent vendor management skills.
- Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously.
- Superior organization skills, resilience and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
