Bloomberg TV is seeking a highly motivated Production Assistant to join our London team on a 12-month contract. This is an entry-level role designed for someone at the start of their career who is already an avid consumer of Bloomberg news and eager to grow within a fast-paced, global newsroom.

Role Overview

You will work closely with the production team to support live programming, contributing research and essential day-to-day coordination. The role sits at the heart of a live news environment and requires someone dependable, adaptable, and able to perform under pressure – particularly during early starts and busy news cycles. It is an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of television news while building a strong foundation in business and financial journalism.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare briefing notes that anchors can use as part of their research for interviews.
  • Independently complete administrative tasks such as booking cars, keeping the green room tidy, and compiling data.
  • Greet and speak with TV guests coming for studio interviews.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 4 high-performance GCSEs (or equivalent).
  • Evidence of GCSE Maths and English results.
  • A passion for Bloomberg news and a strong interest in business and finance.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy; ability to multi-task.
  • A strong work ethic and willingness to work early mornings.

Desired Experience

  • Knowledge of organisational tools such as TeamUp and Excel.
  • Experience in research.
  • Experience working as part of a team.
