The Team:

Our Events and Transcripts Data team is seeking a Data Quality Engineer to help us drive the data set forward. The team provides our users with complete, accurate and timely company events and transcripts information. We partner closely with the Product, Engineering, Sales and News departments to create data products to support the numerous use cases that our clients heavily rely on to drive their workflows. Cross-functional collaboration, deep domain knowledge, thoughtful automation, and data management expertise are paramount for our ability to continuously deliver high quality fit for needed data to our rapidly growing customer base.

The Role:

As a Data Management Professional focusing on Quality, you will define and execute the quality strategy that ensures our datasets are reliable, consistent, and ready for critical client use cases. You will lead efforts to design and implement effective data management practices, establish quality metrics, and deliver transparent reporting. Your work will directly support the transformation of our data workflows, enabling scalability for private markets and beyond.

This role requires a mix of technical expertise, governance mindset, and stakeholder engagement skills. You’ll collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, and internal Centers of Excellence to ensure our datasets evolve in line with industry standards while also meeting client expectations for accuracy, coverage, and usability.

We'll Trust You to:

  • Develop and deliver the data quality strategy for the Events and Transcripts product, aligning it with client use cases and industry’s best practices.
  • Define, measure, and monitor data quality metrics that ensure transparency and accountability across workflows.
  • Oversee data governance on the new and existing workflow while improving the data ingestion and interoperability between our product and the rest.
  • Devise data quality strategies across various data workflows and oversee its governance.
  • Own data quality methodologies and quarterly reporting.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to embed quality-by-design principles into ingestion, transformation, and delivery pipelines.
  • Perform data profiling, statistical analysis, and root cause investigations to validate approaches and recommend improvements.
  • Set up business rules and visualization to measure and ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of our data using Bloomberg tech stack components such as business rule engines and QlikSense.
  • Balance the best of technical and product knowledge to craft solutions for customers.

You’ll Need to Have:

  • A bachelor of arts/bachelors of science degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, or relevant data technology field, or equivalent professional work experience.
  • Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in data science, data quality management, or data governance.
  • 3-8 years of experience working with Python, SQL and/or NoSQL.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to collaborate across teams and geographies.
  • Strong communication skills to influence stakeholders as well as present complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficient in using Tech Stack such as Amazon S3, Lambda function, Kafka, Apache Airflow or Bloomberg Tech Stack in production environment.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, numerical proficiency and high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a distributed team environment.
  • Ability to optimally communicate and present concepts and methodologies to diverse audiences.
