Fixed Income Reference Data Team
The team manages solutions that are foundational and critical to the success of our Enterprise Content business. We have built a best-in-class data product offering that services client demand for completeness, timeliness and high-quality reference data. Reference data provides the foundation across pricing, regulatory, risk and our sustainable Fixed Income Data Solutions. This business is core to our growth strategy across Enterprise Data, and our ambition is to continue servicing the most complex demands and challenges of our clients so that they can keep innovating and delivering value to their clients. The team is responsible for identifying, creating, and designing data solutions that leverage Bloomberg's Fixed Income data. This requires an in-depth understanding of Fixed Income markets and familiarity with key market drivers.
What is the role?
We are seeking an exceptional Product Manager to drive the continued development of our extended Fixed Income products to define how we make Fixed Income Reference Data available within the largest financial data marketplace to drive client adoption and evolve the business. You will stay current with industry trends, engage directly with clients to understand their challenges, and collaborate across business units to ensure strategic alignment. You will be responsible for documenting our target client challenges and needs, understanding use cases, and then the design, evolution, prioritization and execution of a strategy and product rollout in collaboration with stakeholders. This will include defining product level and overall go-to-market and success metrics.
We will trust you to:
- Support product strategy by helping define and communicate clear goals, initiatives, and outcomes for Fixed Income Reference Data Products, and ensuring business needs translate into actionable product plans.
- Understand client needs by gathering feedback, identifying pain points, and helping prioritize features that deliver the greatest impact for our clients and the business.
- Collaborate across teams by partnering with Engineering, Support, and Data Operations to ensure deliverables are well defined, clearly communicated, and aligned with business objectives.
- Contribute to go-to-market efforts by working with Marketing and Sales to promote new products and enhancements, drive adoption, and support business growth.
- Engage directly with clients to build trusted relationships, expand our understanding of their challenges, and co-develop solutions through ongoing feedback and experimentation.
- Develop subject matter expertise in Bloomberg’s enterprise Fixed Income Data products, including the accessibility, usability, quality, tools, and services that enable clients to maximize the value of our content.
You will need to have:
- Strong knowledge of the Fixed Income Markets, spanning at least two of the following: Municipals, Securitized Credit, Corporate Credit, and Rates.
- Direct, hands-on experience with enterprise data products from leading financial providers, combined with a clear understanding of how enterprise clients identify, test, and evaluate datasets across vendors, as well as familiarity with data pipeline concepts such as data lakes, data warehouses, ETL, normalization, and linkage.
- Proficiency in statistics and data science tools and techniques, including Python, SQL, and cloud computing environments.
- Experience applying agile principles and collaborating with multiple stakeholders to deliver projects and initiatives successfully.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complex topics into clear, actionable insights and effectively present business plans and updates to management or broader audiences.
