Bloomberg News is looking for a court reporter in London to cover the biggest civil disputes, white-collar crime and financial scandals, particularly at the intersection of finance and private credit. The beat offers a unique chance to take on a high-profile role in a leading news organization. We're looking for a tenacious reporter who's willing to grapple with the English court system, stand up for open justice and arrive with a vision for the beat that identifies the biggest lawsuits and how to push beyond the obvious angles.
You should have a proven track record of developing a diverse network of sources, breaking high-impact news and writing longer-form enterprise pieces. The need to leverage Bloomberg's global newsroom by collaborating across teams and time zones is a vital aspect of the role, as is the ability to work across various platforms -- including video, audio and social media -- to ensure your reporting gets multiplied across our many formats.
We'll trust you to:- Produce quick-fire stories as well as long-term enterprise that inform our readers
- Explore and execute original ways to tell our biggest stories
- Take the initiative and drive our coverage of courts
- Work across the Bloomberg newsroom to elevate our coverage
- Minimum of three years' reporting experience

- A willingness to work well within a team and with others across the newsroom
