Bloomberg is a leading provider of financial benchmarks and custom index services. Bloomberg indices are used as the basis of investment products and for bench-marking portfolio performance. The Bloomberg terminal and Bloomberg media enable the global investment community to interact with Bloomberg indices. You'll be joining a fast-growing and highly motivated index product team that sits within our Enterprise Data division. You will be focusing on the construction and commercialization of equity indices, methodology management, product positioning, and helping drive the commercial success of the business. You'll help develop new Bloomberg terminal analytics that will transform the index industry. You'll have deep knowledge of index construction and methodology, product management, the index industry, and the asset management industry. You'll be comfortable in working with large data sets and have a talent in extracting meaningful intelligence to drive innovation and product direction. This is a role with very high visibility within the organization and the investment community. We'll Trust you to: Contribute meaningfully to the analysis, evaluation, product vision and messaging of the index product offeringServe as an ambassador to the product vision, keeping the equity index platform and methodology relevant and robustCreate and drive product strategy/vision for the future of the equity index businessAssess client needs and translate them into index-based solutionsCommunicate product vision and build consensus among senior leadership teamExecute efficiently and effectively on product vision, builds, and launches go to marketAbility to collaborate successfully across business units including Production, Operations, Engineering, Governance, etc. Partner with sales to serve as the subject matter expert and drive the marketing and messaging of the productsYou'll need to have:7+ years of Product Management Manager or Product Development experienceHands-on equity index product experienceIndex methodology knowledge and experience in keeping methodologies updated and relevantUnderstanding of day-to-day governance determinations on index eventsDemonstrated understanding of financial markets, investment management and the sales processProven analytical capabilities working with large data setsStrong communication and negotiation skills, capable of building enthusiastic support for new ideas that lead to commercial outcomeAdvanced Excel and PowerPoint skills including the ability to create pivot tables and v-lookupsWe'd love to see: Discover what makes Bloomberg unique - watch our podcast series for an inside look at our culture, values, and the people behind our success.
