The Global Buyside Portfolio Support Team provides customer service for clients using the Bloomberg Portfolio and Risk Analytics solution. This platform provides customers the ability to analyze multi-asset portfolios, obtain a suite of derived analytics interactively and incorporate batch-style reporting into their daily workflows. The Buyside Portfolio Support Team sits within Buyside Enterprise Services, which owns customer support for the entire suite of Bloomberg's Buyside solutions.
There is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to join the Buyside Portfolio Support Team. The Portfolio Support Specialist is a client facing role, liaising with portfolio managers, risk and performance analysts and back/middle-office professionals. This position demands strong problem-solving skills complemented with solid interpersonal skills. Good knowledge of fixed income analytics is preferred. The daily workload will include establishing a trusted adviser relationship that works to ensure our clients' full satisfaction with the Portfolio and Risk Analytics solution.
We'll Trust You To:- Develop a deep understanding of our portfolio product offering so that you can quickly assess the severity of an operational issue with regards to client impact.
- Triage and troubleshoot issues, specifically related to critical batch processes.
- Understand and support clients on methodologies inquiries around portfolio performance, attribution and risk.
- Monitor, facilitate & consult our clients during full technology release cycles.
- Identify systemic issues, escalate appropriately by representing client impact internally.
- Communicate effectively and in a timely manner with our clients.
- Collaborate extensively with our Portfolio Implementations, Portfolio Sales and Portfolio Engineering teams to improve our clients' experience and overall performance of our technology.
- Prioritise and drive resolution on escalated client issues.
- Provide detailed feedback from clients to product managers to better improve our products.
- Continually look for ways to improve workflows and partner with our engineering teams to enhance operational tools.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate problems and provide solutions.
- Understanding of workflows used by portfolio managers, risk and attribution specialists; the ability to build and understand complex workflow solutions is key.
- Excellent communicative skills, both verbal and written.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in Buyside financial institutions or supporting Buyside customers; alternatively, experience in financial engineering.
- The ambition to take ownership and responsibility of issues and handle them effectively through to resolution.
- The inclination and aptitude to pick up new technologies and procedures.
- The ability to effectively communicate technical/complex issues in a simplistic manner to various audiences.
- We would love to see candidates with SQL/Python knowledge, CFA/FRM or equivalent qualifications and experience with Bloomberg products.
