At Bloomberg, we need a constant flow of ideas, energy and innovation - which is where you come in. We’re looking for apprentices from all backgrounds who are passionate about telling stories in a variety of forms. From reporting and writing to TV and radio, we want you to collaborate across platforms to deliver critical information to our clients. As an apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience where you will be trained in reporting and writing for a news organisation. Responsibilities may include pitching and writing stories, booking guests, conducting exclusive interviews, digging into data and working with our multimedia platforms. We operate as one newsroom – a collaborative, inclusive and diverse environment where print, digital and broadcast come together to produce the most accurate content. The Media Production Coordinator Level 4 Apprenticeship offers an introduction to different media formats across the newsroom while also building your journalistic skills. Upon completion of the Media Production Level 4 Apprenticeship there may be an opportunity to begin the Journalism Level 5 Apprenticeship to further develop your writing skills, this is performance dependent.
Eligibility criteria:
- Three A-levels (predicted or achieved) with grades A*-C (or equivalent)
- 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4 - 9 in any subject (Should include Maths & English)
- Learners must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level than this apprenticeship in a similar subject
- Possess the right to work in the UK
- Have lived in the UK continuously for the past 3 years

- A passion for news and/or a willingness to dig in and learn about global financial markets, companies and economies
- Demonstrated interest in journalism through work experience or extracurricular activities
- Strong curiosity, a keen interest to learn about the world and uncover surprises
- Be self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive, self-starter mindset
