As a Markets Specialist in Rates, you will apply deep rates expertise to help clients maximise value from Bloomberg’s Terminal and Enterprise solutions. You will act as an advisory partner, shaping client strategies and feeding product direction with market insights. You will map the competitive landscape and drive revenue through consultative engagements and thought leadership. You will operate across a European client base, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable impact. This role offers a chance to influence product enhancements and contribute to a client-centric, growth-focused culture.
Responsibilities
- Generate revenue for Bloomberg Terminal and Enterprise solutions using market knowledge and client insight
- Advise clients on challenges and how Bloomberg products address them
- Understand competitor landscape and its impact on internal and external customers
- Influence product direction through thought leadership and client feedback
- Own a roadmap of initiatives aligned with product, sales, and company goals with regular check-ins
- Participate in new projects driving departmental and firm-wide goals
- Pursue additional impact through mentoring, training, campaigns, and product enhancements
Key requirements
- Extensive experience in Rates markets across cash and derivative instruments
- Strong knowledge of Rates market drivers and conventions
- Practical experience using the Bloomberg Terminal and asset class functionality
- Business insight to make sound judgments and drive commercial success
- Ability to convey complex ideas clearly to audiences and in meetings
- Willingness to travel across Europe (~6 nights per month)
- Outstanding presentation, training and communication skills
- Spanish language (business fluency) would be an advantage
