Bloombergu2019s Legal & Compliance Department plays a critical role in supporting our businesses and operations around the world. We move quickly and thoughtfully to help address a variety of complex legal issues that arise across the Companyu2019s various businesses. Based in London, you will be an integral part of the Legal department, working closely with and supported by your Legal Negotiations colleagues and Legal Counsel. You will focus on managing the legal responses for Requests For Proposals (RFPs) from EMEA and APAC Sales Support. You will review our Companyu2019s entire response to the bid to ensure it does not put the Company at legal risk, updating the RFP as needed. You will also negotiate Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and any included legal terms and conditions attached to the RFP, and respond to associated requests for various forms and licensing contracts associated with the RFPs. Negotiation of licensing agreements with Bloomberg\’s customers across EMEA and APAC outside of an RFP context may be required depending on business needs. Our customers range from major financial institutions to government entities across a wide range of fin-tech products and services that are dynamic and often cutting-edge. We\’ll rely on you to build internal partnerships with Sales Support in EMEA and APAC and balance both the needs and drive of Bloomberg Sales and our customers in a time-sensitive environment.
**We\’ll trust you to:**
– Review and/or provide responses to Legal & Compliance related questions for all customer RFPs
– Review final bids in their entirety for undue legal risk prior to submission
– Respond and negotiate associated RFP legal terms and conditions (including NDAs) within tight deadlines, with support from the Negotiations team or Counsel
– Respond to contract inquiries and negotiate terms and conditions while supporting Sales and our clients in a timely manner
– Work in close partnership with Legal Negotiations Specialists, Counsel, Sales and Sales Support, and Product
– Multitask and manage multiple time sensitive tasks and projects in a challenging, fast-paced and fluid environment
– Operate in an open and communicative way with our colleagues and customers
– Be a quick learner who can quickly adapt to our proprietary technology
– Be an active participant in identifying and supporting projects that continuously improve our own operations and as well as those that streamline processes between us and our business partners.
**Youu2019ll need to have:**
– A bachelor\’s degree and 3 years* of relevant experience
– Experience negotiating some light contractual legal terms & conditions, preferably data / technology contracts and licensing software solutions
– Experience in a customer or supplier contract management type role; we highly prefer experience working on RFPs and NDAs
– Excellent organizational and time management skills
– Superb written and oral communication skills
– Strong attention to detail
– Superb work ethic
– Ability to apply good judgment in identifying legal issues, weighing risk, and recognizing when issues require escalation
– Adaptability to the changing needs of our business partners and external customers
