Bloomberg Television is looking for a highly motivated Booking Producer for a 6 months contract, joining one of our flagship programs in-person at our studio in London.
You will be responsible for: booking newsmakers and top guests on market-moving stories, taking the initiative on covering breaking news, finding the appropriate voices under deadline pressure, and supporting the senior producer, line producer and anchors.
You should have a broad interest in global news with a specialized focus on markets, finance and the economy. You embrace challenges, can make split-second decisions, thrive in a fast-paced environment and are an effective communicator across a global newsroom.
We'll trust you to:
- Book big names for a daily show that covers the top market-moving stories
- Be proactive – pitch ideas, be creative, bring your expertise to the table and elevate our content
- Pitch newsmakers and stories
- Develop relationships within the business, finance communities globally
- Work closely with the show-side producers and talent
- Work well under pressure in a fast-paced newsroom environment
- Be able to pivot and react as news events evolve
You'll need to have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- At least 5 years of experience in TV production, journalism or public relations
- Knowledge of business news and the financial markets
- Problem solving skills, with the ability to work under deadline pressure
- Flexibility with hours
