What’s the role?
Bloomberg Sourcing specialises in identifying and engaging top‑tier talent for current and future hiring needs. As a critical part of our broader talent acquisition strategy, you will collaborate with recruiters, hiring managers and HR professionals to build robust talent pipelines, leveraging cutting‑edge sourcing techniques, data, and market insights. This role is ideal for a self‑starter with a passion for uncovering hidden talent, developing relationships, and ensuring a world‑class candidate experience. Gaining knowledge of the range of vacancies, understanding of the departments and building relationships within the industry, you will become a credible asset, adding value to the Financial Solutions business at Bloomberg. The Bloomberg Financial Solutions department is at the forefront of ensuring success for our customers and employees alike. It comprises several key pillars: Sales, Service, Operations, Culture and Brand. As a department, it is united by a common goal: to create meaningful relationships with clients by understanding their needs and delivering exceptional end‑to‑end support from sales and implementation, through their ongoing relationship with Bloomberg.
We’ll trust you to:
- Identify and engage passive and active candidates through various channels, including LinkedIn/social media, employee referrals, networking events, and other creative sourcing and headhunting methodology
- Build and maintain proactive pools of diverse talent for critical, niche, and/or high‑volume roles
- Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to understand role requirements, broader business objectives and ideal skill profiles and long‑term workforce planning needs
- Provide data insights, market intelligence, talent mapping, and competitive analysis to inform hiring strategies
- Ensure high‑touch, focused candidate engagement & experience
- Nurture relationships with prospective candidates to keep them engaged and informed about current and future opportunities
- Track and maintain accurate records of candidate interactions in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) or CRM
- Recommend and implement innovative sourcing strategies and tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the broader recruitment process
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in sourcing and recruitment
You’ll need to have:
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience working in a sourcing or recruitment position in a recruitment agency using Boolean, LinkedIn and other search techniques
- Proven experience supporting hiring for Financial Services related roles (particularly Sales) with a strong market network
- Familiarity with sourcing for diverse roles across various functions and levels (e.g., technical, non‑technical, leadership, etc.)
- Proficiency in ATS/CRM platforms and sourcing tools, ideally, Avature, LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, X‑ray search
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms and talent research methods
- Exceptional communication and relationship‑building skills
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret & leverage data to provide insights and influence
- High level of initiative, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
