Bloomberg TV is seeking a highly motivated Production Assistant to join our London team on a 12-month contract. This is an entry-level role designed for someone at the start of their career who is already an avid consumer of Bloomberg news and eager to grow within a fast‑paced, global newsroom. You should be naturally curious about global events, markets, politics and the forces shaping the world, with a desire to understand the “why” behind the headlines. Alongside this curiosity, you bring a positive, can‑do attitude, resilience, and the ambition to build a long‑term career at Bloomberg.
You will work closely with the production team to support live programming, contributing research and essential day‑to‑day coordination. This role sits at the heart of a live news environment and requires someone dependable, adaptable, and able to perform under pressure – particularly during early starts and busy news cycles. It’s an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of television news while building a strong foundation in business and financial journalism.
We’ll trust you to:
- Prepare briefing notes that anchors can use as part of their research for interviews
- Independently complete administrative tasks such as booking cars, keeping the green room tidy, and compiling data
- Greet and speak with TV guests coming for studio interviews
You’ll need to have:
- A minimum of 4 high performance GCSEs (or equivalent)
- Evidence of GCSE Maths and English results
- A passion for Bloomberg news, and a strong interest in business and finance
- Attention to detail and accuracy, ability to multi‑task
- A strong work ethic, and willingness to work early mornings
We’d love to see:
- Knowledge of organisational tools like TeamUp and Excel
- Experience in research
- Experience working as part of a team
