The Opportunity
As Bloomberg continues to expand its investment in AI, analytics, and connected data, the need for high-quality, well-structured, and accessible datasets is more critical than ever. Industry and physical asset data sit at the core of how clients understand real-world operations, risk, and opportunity. We are at an inflection point: much of this data today is fragmented, inconsistently modeled, and optimized for specific use cases rather than long-term reuse. This role is an opportunity to rethink and rebuild how Physical Assets & Geospatial data is managed—creating a scalable, sustainable foundation that improves data quality, interoperability, and accessibility across the Terminal.
The Team
The Industry Data & Supply Chain (IDSP) team is part of Core & Industry Financial Data. We bring together Industry Data, Supply Chain, and Physical Assets & Geospatial (PAGEO) to deliver a unified view of how industries operate and evolve. Our goal is to enable clients—and internal teams—to seamlessly analyze company exposure, supply chain dynamics, and real-world impacts within a connected workflow.
The Role
We are looking for a Product Manager to lead the evolution of Bloomberg’s Physical Assets & Geospatial data platform. This role goes beyond incremental product development. It requires a fresh perspective on how asset data should be structured, governed, and delivered at scale. You will drive the transformation from fragmented datasets into a cohesive platform that standardizes data models, enforces quality, and enables broad reuse across products and workflows. You will define and execute a strategy to centralize asset data, integrate geospatial capabilities, and build the infrastructure needed to support advanced analytics and event-driven insights. This platform will act as a core foundation for the company's existing products and enable future AI-driven applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive the product strategy for the Physical Assets & Geospatial platform, with a focus on scalability, sustainability, and data quality
- Lead the design of data models and architecture to enable standardized, reusable, and well-governed datasets
- Build and evolve platform capabilities, including geospatial integration, asset-event linking, and data services
- Partner closely with Engineering and Data teams to deliver robust, scalable systems and improve data lifecycle management
- Break down silos by unifying datasets across domains and ensuring consistency across workflows
- Enable internal and client-facing use cases through accessible APIs, services, and tooling
- Collaborate with multiple PMs to ensure seamless integration of asset, network, and industry data
- Drive client impact and product differentiation in partnership with commercial teams
You’ll Need To Have
- Experience as a Product Manager working on data platforms, data infrastructure, or analytics-driven products
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data architecture, and scalable platform design
- Proven ability to rethink and improve data systems with a focus on long-term sustainability and reuse
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data challenges into actionable solutions
- Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering and Data teams to deliver complex platform initiatives
- Ability to define clear strategy, prioritize effectively, and execute against a roadmap with measurable outcomes
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence across teams and business lines
- Comfort working in agile environments and managing multiple concurrent workstreams
- Fluency in using data and product metrics to drive decision-making and improve outcomes
- Solid understanding of Bloomberg Terminal workflows and how data is consumed by clients
Love to See
- Ability to clearly communicate complex ideas through strong storytelling and presentations
- A balance of attention to detail and big-picture thinking
- A proactive, self-driven approach with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement
- Positive energy and a collaborative mindset
