We're seeking a Social Video Producer for the Ideas and Culture team. This role sits at the intersection of journalism, editing and distribution. You'll produce shortâform content tied to Bloomberg Weekend, CityLab and Pursuits, including the Mishal Husain Show.
You're a strong editor with sharp news judgment and a deep understanding of how audiences consume video on social. You can move quickly without sacrificing qualityâand you know how to tailor content for different platforms to maximize reach and impact.
We'll trust you to:
- Produce and edit social videos with a cultureâfocused bent
- Develop original, socialâfirst features that drive engagement
- Edit weekly social clips from The Mishal Husain Show
- Write sharp, accurate scripts and headlines
- Package and distribute video across Bloomberg platforms (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, Facebook and more)
- Optimize content using performance data and platform best practices
- Collaborate with reporters, anchors and producers across Bloomberg News
- Manage endâtoâend workflowâfrom edit to publish to performance tracking
You'll need to have:
- 5+ years producing and editing video in a newsroom or digital media environment
- Strong editorial judgment
- A track record of creating premium creative format highâperforming social video
- Fluency in platformâspecific storytelling and distribution strategies
- Experience working with onâcamera talent
- Excellent writing and copyâediting skills
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro; experience with other Adobe Creative Cloud tools is a plus
- Familiarity with social analytics tools and using data to inform decisions
- Experience developing videos for global audiences is a plus
- Wideâranging interests in politics, economics, lifestyle and culture
