We are looking for a reliable, organised and proactive Hair & Makeup Assistant to support our Hair & Makeup team within a fast-paced live news environment.
We'll trust you to:

Carry out regular hair and makeup checks on presenters, talent and guests while on air.

Assist the Hair & Makeup team with preparations, touch-ups and general on-set requirements.

Ensure the hair and makeup room is fully stocked, clean, tidy and ready for use at all times.

Clean and maintain workstations, tools and equipment to a high hygiene standard.

Prepare the room and products ahead of broadcasts and reset between talent and guests.

Monitor stock levels and flag any products or supplies that need replenishing.

Respond quickly to last-minute requests and changing broadcast requirements.

Work professionally and discreetly with presenters, guests and the wider production team.
You’ll need to have:

Previous experience in hair and/or makeup is desirable.

Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.

Calm and able to work effectively under pressure.
-
Proactive, flexible and a strong team player.
-
Professional, personable and discreet.
-
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, live broadcast environment.
