Bloomberg LP has built a significant Media business spanning television, digital, magazine, radio and live event platforms across the globe. In the midst of a historic time in the Media industry, Bloomberg Media is growing its global footprint and reach through new innovations from Originals to New Economy.

We are looking for a Content Producer to join Bloomberg’s Video and Design team. You'll be part of our busy newsroom in London, working closely with teams across Television, Digital and Social. This role is a critical part of our production team, responsible for creating compelling visual content for live broadcast and across Bloomberg’s digital platforms.

The team currently covers five hours of live programming Monday-Friday, from 6am to 11am, across the shows Bloomberg Daybreak Europe, Opening Trade, The Pulse with Francine Lacqua and Bloomberg Brief .

Each show has a dedicated Content Producer who works alongside the production team and talent to ensure all segments have appropriate production value and serves as the point person for creating digital and social content for the show. While you will primarily be assigned to one show, assignments may change depending on editorial and production needs, and you will also be expected to work across other shows and projects.

Alongside live production, you will edit a range of video content, including feature shows, video podcasts, and other video formats for TV and digital platforms.

We’ll trust you to:

  • Create video and graphics that include but are not limited to: VOs (video overlays), SOTs (soundbites), SOT Strings, Produced Opens, Multicam interviews, Interviews with translations, Graphic templated headshots, Charts, Full screens, Social-first content, Promos

  • Edit video content across a range of formats, from interviews and social/digital clips to feature shows and video podcasts, including multicam productions.

  • Have a good understanding of audio editing and mixing, captioning and the technical requirements for delivering finished content for TV and digital platforms.

  • Thrive in a live news environment, working on breaking news and to quick deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Be proactive — pitch ideas, be creative, bring your expertise to the table and elevate our content.

  • Be precise in sourcing content and creating elements for your work. We have an extensive internal library of video and images as well as multiple sources to obtain content from.

  • Deliver your content to multiple destinations and be familiar with various digital platforms and metadata requirements that are crucial for digital success.

  • Be a self-starter and have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Be flexible with working hours to accommodate global production schedules and news events. Early mornings are a requirement, with your day starting as early as 4am and working nine-hour days.

  • Work well under pressure in a fast-paced newsroom environment and be able to pivot and react as news events evolve.

  • Be highly motivated, accurate and detail-oriented in your work.

  • Have strong communication skills and collaborate across the newsroom with producers, assignment desk editors and journalists.

  • Have solid news judgment and editorial knowledge to produce clips for digital and social platforms. You will be required to write headlines and social language.

  • Work closely with the executive producer, show producers and talent on segments.

  • Support your show team and be able to fill in roles with schedule changes, as well as contribute to other shows and projects as editorial and production priorities require.

  • Work with various programs throughout your shift, including the Bloomberg Terminal, editing software, newsroom programs and distribution tools.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

  • 3 years of newsroom experience.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere Pro, with experience editing multicam and other video content.

  • A working understanding of audio editing/mixing and captioning workflows.
