The Bloomberg Risk suite is a scalable, high-performance set of solutions built upon some of the most widely used pricing engines and derivative libraries on the market. The integration of our suite of risk solutions across our buyside product range has allowed us to focus on providing clients with a flexible and complete offering to match their risk needs across their organization. These solutions include intra-day front office portfolio management, market risk, counterparty risk, credit risk, collateral management, structured cashflows.

Responsibilities

  • Take a strategic view of your client coverage to uncover workflow gaps that drive increased usage and revenue across Terminal and marquee products.
  • Proactively monitor and manage at-risk users to defend the Bloomberg business.
  • Lead and implement usage and sales campaigns, both self-initiated to achieve business targets and management driven initiatives.
  • Build strong and lasting relationships with users and senior leaders in our client base, including hedge funds, asset managers, asset owners, private wealth, ManCos and more.
  • Develop a sound understanding of Bloomberg’s Risk products, how they integrate with financial markets and to position our solutions appropriately.
  • Demonstrate a strong level of Bloomberg customer type knowledge, by understanding how that player type makes money, does their job, and utilise technology.
  • Be able to demonstrate functionality and workflows of applicable Bloomberg solutions that improve a specific customer type's need.
  • Contribute innovative ideas that anticipate and address client needs.
  • Leverage customer conversations to identify competitor gaps, drive displacement opportunities, and expand client investment in our products.
  • Collaborate across Sales (AIM, PORT, Risk, Core, Data) and key internal client-facing teams (Product, Support, Implementations, Market Specialists) to unlock new leads, on-board new desks and accelerate opportunities.
  • Participate actively in new projects that drive departmental and firm-wide initiatives.
  • Seek out additional ways to demonstrate leadership and make an impact, such as mentoring, involvement in training, running campaigns, and active involvement in product enhancement.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of risk topics, ideally including UCITS/AIFMD.
  • Ability to engage at a senior level with buy-side clients.
  • Ability to engage and collaborate with other teams internally.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Exemplary presentation, training and communication skills in English.

Desirable

  • A focus on the MARS range of solutions already, either through advocacy or direct involvement in risk opportunities.
