Hi, we’re Bloom & Wild. We don’t just send flowers. We help our customers to care wildly. Caring wildly is celebrating the little things we all do for each other every day. Not just the big occasions. It’s being there for the highs. Stepping up for the lows. We care wildly about people and our planet. Which is why we’re so proud to be a certified B Corp™ – committed to making long-term positive change for our community, and the world around us.
Founded in 2013, our mission back then was to make sending and receiving flowers the joy that it should be, by harnessing technology, brand and letterbox delivery. We announced £75 million Series D funding in 2021 and that same year acquired bloomon in The Netherlands and Bergamotte in France. Together, we’ve fulfilled and delivered over 20 million orders (and counting!), making us the largest direct to consumer flower business in Europe. Now home to a family of 3 beautiful brands, we’re driven by our vision to create the destination for making life a little more thoughtful and beautiful. And we won’t stop at flowers and plants. Starting with the Bloom & Wild brand, we’re expanding our gifting offering to other categories like cakes, candles and cocktails. This is all part of our ambition to build Europe’s #1 direct to consumer gifting destination.
The Commercial Team @ Bloom & Wild Group
Our merchandising function has recently moved within the commercial team. Our commercial team works cross-functionally with many departments in our company, with a focus on delivering ambitious growth across all of our markets and brands. We focus on our revenue and profit, but maintain a long term, and customer centric focus in everything we do.
This may sound like a cliche, but we really are a bunch of fast-thinking problem-solvers. Our Slack channels are full of problem solving and knowledge sharing threads as we work together on our shared mission. We know where we’re headed, and we’re all ready to jump in to support each other to get there. We’re a distributed team, with team members across the UK and Europe! We work almost all other functions across the business, so we’re really proud of our ability to collaborate effectively and are always looking for ways to connect and work together; making use of both our virtual tools and our lovely offices. We try to come together as a full team once a year in either London or Amsterdam for a team offsite, and throughout the rest of the year we gather in our respective country teams as frequently as we can!
What you’ll be doing
This role is responsible for the ‘shop window’ of our site, ensuring that products are set live accurately and on time and merchandised to customers in inspiring and user-friendly ways. You’ll sit within our Commercial team and report to our Head of Commercial UK Sam. You’ll work closely with many other teams in our business including Range, Creative, Forecasting, Central Operations Planning and more.
Responsibilities

- Kick off the product site launch process by setting up production codes for forecasting & planning
- Create SKUs in our backend system, upload all product information using assets provided to you (eg product timings, imagery, product descriptions)
- Complete a pre-launch checklist, confirming that all stock is where it should be, and all other dependencies are aligned before going live.
- Create merchandising plans which help our customers to navigate our product range, creating plans for seasons (eg summer) and peaks (eg Mother’s Day)
- Align your plans with key stakeholders (such as Commercial & Range teams) and then setting up in a timely manner
- Helping to investigate when elements of our website don’t behave as intended.
- Supporting on scoping and setting up merchandising AB tests, to help optimise our websites and apps
- Making live optimisations based on site data to help boost trading, respond to customer behaviour or drive awareness of certain products or categories
- Swiftly respond to site requests for on-site raised by other teams, especially over our peak periods.
