We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Advisor to join a growing contemporary fashion brand.
This is a varied, hands-on position supporting employees and managers across the business while also taking responsibility for recruitment across a range of departments.
The successful candidate will have strong generalist HR experience, excellent knowledge of employment legislation and the confidence to manage recruitment processes from initial briefing through to offer and onboarding.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day HR advice and support to employees and line managers.
- Manage employee relations matters, including performance, absence, disciplinary and grievance processes.
- Support managers with policies, procedures and people-related decisions.
- Manage recruitment across head office and wider business functions.
- Partner with hiring managers to develop job descriptions and define recruitment requirements.
- Advertise vacancies, source candidates and coordinate interviews.
- Conduct initial candidate interviews and support the selection and offer process.
- Manage contracts, references, right-to-work checks and onboarding.
- Support probation reviews, performance reviews and employee development.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR systems.
- Monitor absence, holiday and other relevant people data.
- Assist with payroll information and employee benefit administration.
- Support employee engagement, wellbeing and company culture initiatives.
- Review and update HR policies in line with current employment legislation.
- Assist with wider people projects as the brand continues to grow.
- Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in an HR Advisor or similar generalist HR position.
- Experience managing recruitment processes from briefing through to offer.
- A good understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Experience supporting employee relations cases.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail.
- Approachable, discreet and confident handling sensitive information.
- Comfortable working within a creative, entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment.
- Experience within fashion, retail, lifestyle or another consumer-led business would be advantageous.
- CIPD qualified or working towards a CIPD qualification would be beneficial.
