We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Pattern Cutter to join our luxury womenswear atelier. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically accomplished individual who combines traditional couture pattern cutting techniques with modern digital pattern engineering.

Working closely with the Design, Atelier, Product Development and Production teams, you will play a key role in translating creative concepts into beautifully executed garments, ensuring exceptional fit, silhouette and craftsmanship across both development and production stages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and develop first patterns from designer sketches, reference garments and technical briefs.
  • Produce manual flat patterns and drape directly on the stand to realise complex silhouettes and innovative design concepts.
  • Interpret creative direction while maintaining commercial viability and manufacturability.
  • Amend and refine patterns following fit sessions and design reviews.
  • Conduct garment fittings alongside Design and Product Development teams, proposing technical solutions and fit improvements.
  • Digitise, grade and maintain patterns using Gerber AccuMark.
  • Create accurate production patterns, specification packs and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with sample machinists and atelier teams to ensure garments are executed to the highest luxury standards.
  • Support the transition from prototype through to production, ensuring consistency of fit and construction.
  • Manage pattern archives and maintain organised digital and physical pattern libraries.
  • Troubleshoot technical construction challenges and propose innovative solutions while preserving design integrity.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience as a Pattern Cutter within a luxury womenswear, designer, couture or premium fashion environment.
  • Advanced manual pattern cutting skills with strong expertise in both flat pattern cutting and draping.
  • Excellent understanding of luxury garment construction, fit and finishing techniques.
  • Highly proficient in Gerber AccuMark, including pattern creation, digitising, grading and marker making.
  • Experience working across tailored, soft and occasionwear categories.
  • Strong knowledge of luxury fabrics and how they behave in development and production.
  • Ability to translate creative concepts into technically accurate patterns.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to exceptional quality.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with designers, machinists and product teams.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
