We are working with an international lifestyle brand to appoint a commercially driven Senior Merchandise Manager to oversee all categories, channels and territories. This is a highly visible role within the business, responsible for driving global trading performance, shaping merchandising strategy and ensuring the brand is optimised across DTC, wholesale and international markets. The role offers significant scope for progression, with a clear pathway to evolve into a Head of Merchandising position in the near term.
Key Responsibilities
- Global Merchandising Strategy
- Own and deliver the global merchandising strategy across all product categories and regions
- Develop seasonal frameworks to optimise sales, margin and inventory performance
- Drive a cohesive approach across DTC, wholesale and international partners
- Trading & Performance
- Lead weekly and seasonal trading, analysing performance across all channels
- Identify opportunities to maximise sell-through, margin and full-price sales
- Partner closely with digital and retail teams to optimise trading performance
- Planning & Forecasting
- Own OTB, WSSI and demand planning across all categories
- Develop accurate forecasts and manage stock flow to ensure optimal availability
- Drive continuous improvements in forecasting accuracy and inventory management
- Product & Range Planning
- Work closely with Design and Product teams to shape range architecture and category mix
- Ensure the right balance of newness, continuity and depth across global markets
- Align product strategy with commercial objectives and customer demand
- International & Channel Management
- Oversee performance across all territories, tailoring strategies to regional markets
- Support wholesale partners with range planning and trading insights
- Ensure alignment across all channels to deliver a consistent brand experience
- Team & Stakeholder Management
- Lead and develop the merchandising team, fostering a high-performance culture
- Partner cross-functionally with Design, Production, Finance, Marketing and Operations
- Present regularly to senior leadership on performance, strategy and opportunities
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in a Merchandise Manager or Senior Merchandising role within fashion or lifestyle
- Strong experience managing multiple categories, channels and international markets
- Highly commercial with a strong understanding of trading, planning and forecasting tools (OTB, WSSI)
- Confident working cross-functionally within a fast-paced, growing business
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and attention to detail
- Ambitious and motivated, with a desire to step into a Head of Merchandising role in the near future
