We are delighted to be partnering with a luxury womenswear brand to appoint an experienced
Product Development Manager to lead their Product Development function.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded and highly organised leader to oversee the Product Development team, partnering closely with Design, Production, Atelier, Technical and Buying to ensure beautifully crafted collections are delivered to the highest standards.
You will play a pivotal role in driving the product development process from concept through to production, ensuring critical paths are met, quality is maintained and products are developed in line with the brand's exceptional craftsmanship and aesthetic.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and develop the Product Development team, ensuring the successful delivery of seasonal collections.
- Own the end‑to‑end product development process from initial concept through to production handover.
- Partner closely with Design, Atelier, Production, Technical and Buying teams to ensure seamless cross‑functional collaboration.
- Manage the critical path, ensuring key milestones are achieved and products are delivered on time.
- Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to develop products that meet the brand's quality, cost and delivery expectations.
- Oversee fittings, sampling and product approvals, ensuring the highest standards of construction and finish.
- Source and develop luxury fabrics, trims and components alongside Design and sourcing teams.
- Drive continuous improvements across product development processes and ways of working.
- Identify and manage potential development risks, proposing solutions to maintain project timelines.
- Support the wider Product leadership team in delivering the brand's strategic objectives.
About You
- Significant experience within Product Development, ideally within luxury womenswear.
- Previous experience managing or mentoring Product Development teams.
- Strong understanding of luxury garment construction, fabrication and manufacturing processes.
- Proven experience working with premium international suppliers and factories.
- Excellent knowledge of product critical paths and development timelines.
- Strong commercial awareness alongside an appreciation for exceptional craftsmanship and quality.
- Outstanding organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple collections simultaneously.
- Confident communicator with the ability to build strong relationships across Design, Production, Technical and Buying teams.
- Passionate about luxury product, innovation and continuous improvement.
