We are partnering with an exciting streetwear brand to appoint a Senior Designer to join their creative team in Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded and trend-driven designer to play a key role in shaping seasonal collections and evolving the brand's creative direction. Working closely with Product Development, Buying, Merchandising and Marketing, you will lead the design process from concept through to final product, ensuring every collection reflects the brand's identity while delivering commercial success.
We're looking for an individual who lives and breathes streetwear culture, has a strong understanding of emerging trends and can translate creative ideas into commercially successful collections.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design and development of seasonal streetwear collections across multiple product categories.
- Research global fashion, streetwear and cultural trends, identifying opportunities to keep the brand at the forefront of the market.
- Create innovative concepts, mood boards, colour palettes and garment designs that align with the brand vision.
- Produce detailed technical sketches, CADs and design specifications.
- Partner closely with Product Development to ensure designs are executed to the highest standard.
- Collaborate with Buying and Merchandising teams to ensure collections balance creativity with commercial performance.
- Attend fittings and sample reviews, providing clear design direction and feedback.
- Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers throughout the product development process.
- Mentor and support junior members of the Design team, fostering creativity and collaboration.
- Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the brand's creative handwriting and product strategy.
- Proven experience as a Senior Designer within streetwear, contemporary or lifestyle fashion.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating innovative, commercially successful collections.
- Excellent understanding of garment construction, fabrication and product development.
- Highly trend-aware with a genuine passion for streetwear culture, fashion and design.
- Strong CAD and Adobe Creative Suite skills.
- Experience working collaboratively with Product Development, Buying and Merchandising teams.
- Commercially minded with the ability to balance creativity and customer demand.
