You’re the Tenancy Sustainment Worker, responsible for ensuring effective support to tenants. You will ensure that Bloom meets its support requirements to tenants via the needs assessment whilst ensuring Bloom is compliant with its claims. You will work with your Manager of Supported Accommodation to ensure referral pipelines are managed and tracked., * To ensure correct completion of referral and needs assessment and to develop, and thereafter implement, housing and support across different cohorts nationally.

  • To audit and report on the quality of support via our internal system. Provide the system with data on outcomes and support delivered to enable accurate reports. Deliver support reports and commentary to the area lead.

  • To work within a team of support workers on a national scale.

  • To build relationships with charities and local authorities to provide required support to tenants in areas where additional support is required.

  • To liaise with Bloom departments and personnel to ensure tenant satisfaction including, housing, property, and finance.

  • To maintain an effective overview of occupancy and voids, advertising and on boarding tenants with/without support needs.

As the Support Worker, you will be a highly organized individual, able to coordinate large workloads in an efficient way. You must possess the ability to effectively work both on your own and as part of a team and hold good verbal and written communication skills. You will be able to work under pressure, be responsible and able to adapt quickly to changing requirements. You must be compassionate for the needs of others and make decisions in line with what you deem is achievable, and thereafter deliver it.

Essential Skills:

  • Previous experience in a support role within the Housing sector.

  • In-depth knowledge of supported accommodation.

  • Background in working with vulnerable individuals with a history of challenging behaviour.

  • Familiarity with issues such as domestic abuse, substance misuse, alcohol addiction, and homelessness.

  • Previous experience in property maintenance or carrying out building inspections.

  • Experience in leading and managing a team.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle large workloads and work effectively under pressure.

  • Confidence in using initiative to respond to situations and problem-solving.

  • Strong people skills, capable of delivering an exceptional level of service.

  • Solid understanding of the Equality Act 2010 and Health and Safety Act legislation.

  • Understanding of the Housing Benefit application process.
