My client is a leading beauty brand owner with a portfolio of brands across the beauty, wellness and gifting categories. Due to continued growth and success, the opportunity to recruit a Senior Key Account Manager has arisen to manage key retail accounts including Waitrose, Boots and Sainsburys
The successful candidate will be motivated, articulate and analytical with experience in managing Waitrose, Boots or Sainsburys within the beauty, wellness or gifting categories. In return, my client offers a competitive package, supportive work environment and excellent career prospects.
Responsibilities
- Be the main point of contact between the brand and its retail and distributor partners in both the UK and Internationally.
- Support Co-founder in achieving retail sales targets through effective communication, the development and implementation of strategic plans and maximising the business to its full potential by retailer.
- Work alongside Co-founder and Marketing team to successfully deliver seasonal campaign activations in-store and online
- Effectively plan promotional calendars and JBPs in collaboration with retailers
- Be a guardian of the commercial strategy and understand fully the focus areas at the beginning of each year. Build a focussed plan to prioritise specific retailers at the beginning of the year.
- Lead new business development on prospective trade partners who are aligned to the brand.
- Plan Trade Day meetings and other strategic retailer meetings and share with teams in due time to ensure that all agenda points are aligned upon and actionable.
- Responsible for all in-store marketing materials and liaising with designers to bring these to life.
- Educate and upskill retailer staff on the brand and products by hosting trainings.
Requirements
- 5 years minimum experience as a Key Account Manager for major UK retailers, including Boots, Waitrose or Sainsburys
- From a category such as beauty, healthcare, cosmetics
- Strong capabilities in Excel/PowerPoint skills to underpin rigorous commercial data understanding and sales presentation skills.
- Driven & self-motivated, a strong planner and well organised.
- Solve problems creatively for customers to balance the aims of the business whilst accommodating the key accounts needs
- Office based 3x days per week, 2 days working from home or with customers (subject to business needs)
