Overview: We’re hiring a UX Lead to support a major transformation programme for a large enterprise environment. This is a strategic yet hands-on role where you will lead user-centred design across a value chain, ensure strong UX governance, and help raise UX maturity across programmes and projects. You will work closely with stakeholders, delivery teams, and vendors to ensure user insight is translated into clear, high-quality design outputs.

What You'll Own:

  • Lead the user-centred design approach for an assigned value chain, ensuring agreed outcomes are met.
  • Conduct and oversee user research using qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Translate insights into wireframes, prototypes, journey maps, and other design artefacts.
  • Apply the right UX approach depending on project scope and delivery model, including Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid.
  • Oversee UX resources where available and ensure consistent design standards and delivery quality.
  • Track progress, manage change variances, and report UX risks and metrics.
  • Lead on a specialist UX area such as user research, design systems, or journey management.
  • Develop and maintain key artefacts such as user journeys, design principles, personas, risk logs, and governance materials.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to support prioritisation, reporting, and change management.
  • Produce status reports, governance packs, and other programme-level UX inputs.
  • Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, insight reviews, and governance meetings as required.
  • Act as Journey Coordinator within the journey group.

What You'll Bring:

  • Strong experience in UX leadership, user-centred design, or service design.
  • Proven ability to run and oversee user research using both qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Experience producing wireframes, prototypes, journey maps, and other UX artefacts.
  • Comfort working across Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience tracking UX risks, reporting metrics, and supporting governance processes.
  • Ability to work strategically while remaining hands-on with delivery.
  • Experience contributing to or improving a wider UX framework or maturity model.
  • Strong facilitation skills for workshops, kick-offs, and collaborative sessions.
