For one of our clients we’re looking for a skilled Senior Network Engineer to help build and maintain resilient, high-performance network infrastructure that supports critical real-time environments. This position is ideal for engineers with deep routing expertise, strong architectural insights, and experience delivering robust network solutions in demanding enterprise settings.
What you’ll do
- Translate designs into detailed configurations and deployment plans, working closely with architecture leadership to ensure feasibility and operational excellence.
- Lead implementation of core network infrastructure projects focused on availability, scalability and performance across distributed systems.
- Configure and manage network routing, switching and security components, with emphasis on strong access controls and segmentation following modern principles like least-privilege/zero-trust.
- Deliver 3rd-line operational support and escalation management for critical production incidents, including deep diagnostics and root cause analysis.
- Establish and maintain network standards, best practices, and operational playbooks to support consistency and compliance.
- Onboard and configure new connectivity with external partners and hosted environments, ensuring reliable integration and performance.
Your profile
- Proven hands-on experience designing, deploying and operating Layer-3 routing architectures, including multi-peer BGP, VRF and resilient topologies.
- Strong routing, switching and network troubleshooting skills, capable of deep-dive analysis across LAN, WAN and data centre environments.
- Familiarity with infrastructure hardware (e.g., enterprise switches/routers) and resilient network design patterns prioritising high throughput and low-latency delivery.
- Solid foundation in network security concepts and configuration management to enforce secure practices.
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to document and articulate complex designs, technical decisions and operational processes.
- Experience with infrastructure automation tooling (Terraform, Ansible) and scripting languages such as Python to support configuration management and process automation.
- Exposure to network observability, telemetry or performance-monitoring tooling.
