The mission
Join an early-stage, VC-backed startup building a trading platform for GPU. Users hedge and speculate on spot prices like any financial market, backed by top-tier investors and founders from MIT, Cambridge, Oxford.
The role
This is a greenfield platform engineering role with complete ownership over the core architecture. You will design and build the systems powering real-time trading from the ground up, working directly with exceptional founders on one of the most ambitious infrastructure challenges at the AI/compute-financial markets intersection. Clear path to VP/CTO leadership.
What you’ll do
- Architect the full platform stack (Python, TypeScript, Golang) handling trading engine, pricing models, hedging mechanisms and marketplace functionality.
- Build scalable, low-latency systems for real-time order matching, risk management and market data distribution.
- Design resilient infrastructure that can handle massive compute trading volumes with 24/7 reliability.
- Integrate with compute providers, exchanges and financial protocols while maintaining strict security and compliance.
- Collaborate directly with founders on technical roadmap, hiring strategy and product evolution, with full flexibility to introduce new technologies and paradigms.
What you bring
- Deep platform/distributed systems experience in high-stakes environments (trading, fintech, infra or high-throughput services).
- Strong proficiency across Python/TypeScript/Golang (or equivalent polyglot stacks) with proven ownership of production-grade systems.
- Expertise in real-time systems, performance optimisation, fault tolerance and scalable architectures under uncertainty.
- Experience with financial protocols, market data feeds, order matching or compute infrastructure is a strong plus.
- Thrives in greenfield environments: making architectural trade-offs, shipping fast, iterating based on live feedback.
