We are looking for a talented and experienced UI/UX designer who will play a crucial role in creating seamless and engaging digital experiences. You would be able to transform complex functionalities into visually engaging experiences. We require someone with strong User Centred Design principles, with the potential of pushing the UX/UI Design team forward even further to build on our in-house talent pool. The demand for bespoke software is only increasing, making this an exciting opportunity for anyone to work with high profile clients and projects. To be successful in this role, you should have experience with design software and wireframe tools (Primarily Figma).
Responsibilities
- Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mock-ups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.
- Facilitate the client's product vision by researching, concepting, sketching, prototyping and user-testing experiences for digital products.
- Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with project managers and developers.
- Illustrate design ideas using sketches, user flows and sitemaps.
- Create UI mock-ups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look.
- Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables).
- Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders.
- Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness).
- Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback.
- Adhere to brand standards on fonts, colours and images.
- An understanding of applying accessibility to digital designs.
- Complete tasks within the allocated time.
- Ability to learn and implement new tools and techniques.
- Consistently follow team’s processes and procedures.
- Be precise and thorough in all aspects of work.
Skills and requirements
- Proven work experience as a UX/UI Designer or similar role.
- User Centred Design principles.
- Existing portfolio of design projects.
- A strong understanding of web technologies and their design limitations.
- Knowledge of wireframe / prototyping tools such as Figma.
- Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Figma, Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Team spirit: strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Good time-management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to discuss and explain design options.
- Ability to present to project stakeholders.
- Detail oriented.
