Based at our HQ in Magherafelt, this is an exciting opportunity for a Creative Lead to play a key role in BlocOuts continued growth.

You will champion the development of high-performing Meta advertising and content strategies, working closely with our internal creative teams, external agencies and creators to turn performance insights into campaigns that engage audiences, acquire new customers and drive revenue across multiple markets. Purpose of the Role BlocOut's growth depends on a constant pipeline of high-performing Meta ad creative and organic content.

This role owns the strategic and performance-driven side of that pipeline: deciding what creative gets made, why, and for whom based on what the data says is actually converting. It sits above production, directing both an in-house Multimedia Designer and external agencies, rather than executing filming/editing itself. This is a senior, high-autonomy role. The person needs to be trusted to make performance-based creative decisions and manage delivery across in-house and agency workstreams with minimal oversight. Core Responsibilities

  • Creative Strategy for In-House Meta Ads Own creative strategy across in-house Meta Ads concepts, personas, hooks, formats. Monitor and interpret ad performance data to make ongoing decisions across both in-house and agency creative. Identify what's working and translate that into clear direction for future creative development Develop and pre-plan campaign creative ahead of key commercial moments (e.g. seasonal peaks, major sales periods).
  • Agency Briefing & Management Brief external agencies based on performance data and strategic priorities. Communicate which personas, angles, and creative approaches are converting so agency output stays aligned with what's actually working. Review and approve agency output against brief and brand standards.
  • Production Oversight & Delegation Research, brief, and delegate work to the in-house Multimedia Designer and any external contributors (e.g. UGC creators, production partners). Ensure creative is delivered to deadlines across all concurrent workstreams. Balance multiple campaigns running in parallel (e.g. major seasonal campaigns alongside always-on and organic social). Apply compliance awareness (e.g. ASA guidelines) to ad scripts and claims, particularly around guarantee-style or outcome-based messaging.
  • Email Creative Strategy Flows & Campaigns Own the creative direction for email flows and campaign sends, ensuring design supports the customer journey, campaign objective and commercial priorities Brief the in-house Multimedia Designer on email creative requirements, including visual hierarchy, imagery, layout, messaging priorities and required assets Ensure email creative remains consistently on-brand while adapting the visual approach to suit individual campaigns, seasonal moments and promotional themes Work closely with the wider marketing team to translate campaign strategy into clear, engaging email creative across both automated flows and one-off campaigns Review email creative before launch to ensure it aligns with the brief, brand standards and wider campaign creative Required Skills & Experience: Essential: Demonstrable track record in creative strategy for in-house Meta Adsthis is not an entry-level or generalist marketing role; candidates should show direct experience owning ad creative decisions against performance data. Exceptional timekeeping and attention to detail skills. Experience briefing and managing external creative agencies. Comfortable interpreting Meta Ads performance data (hooks, personas, formats, drop-off points) and turning it into creative direction. Proficiency with: Notion (briefing), Figma, Meta Ads Manager, Foreplay. Strong organisational skills able to run multiple concurrent campaign workstreams without dropping deadlines. Experience delegating to and directing in-house production talent (design/video) and/or external creators. Working knowledge of advertising compliance standards (e.g. ASA) as they apply to ad copy and claims. Track record of holding high-responsibility roles with minimal day-to-day oversight. Desirable: Experience with experiential campaign concepts. Background in DTC/e-commerce, particularly considered purchase or home goods categories. Experience handling customer-facing escalations tied to ad campaigns (e.g. complaint response, brand tone management). Success Looks Like Creative decisions are consistently backed by performance data, not guesswork. Agencies and in-house production stay aligned with what's converting, reducing wasted creative spend. Campaigns are pre-planned well ahead of key commercial dates, with production running to deadline. Minimal need for senior oversight this person operates as the final decision-maker on day-to-day creative strategy.
