Blis is seeking a driven and results-oriented Senior Marketing Executive to join our European marketing team, with a primary focus on the UK and BENELUX markets, and occasional support for the Italy market. This is an exciting opportunity for a marketing professional with 2-5 years of experience to drive key marketing initiatives and make a significant impact across multiple channels. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, EMEA, you will work across a wide range of activities, including email marketing, content creation, event management, and paid digital campaigns. This is a full-time position based in London. We embrace flexible working, but we expect this role to be in our office two/three days per week. This role will involve some travel to regional office locations to activate events, predominantly London, Manchester and Amsterdam.
Responsibilities
- Event marketing and management: partnering with the Marketing Manager, EMEA, to deliver a varied events portfolio across UK and BENELUX regions. Events range from industry conferences, owned educational, hospitality events and client retreats. Manage complex logistics and venue liaison, plus external communication - invites, managing lists, communications, plus tracking success and reporting.
- Account based marketing initiatives: partner with sales directly to support specific customer initiatives, for example, co-ordinating agency roadshows and activations. Own merch and gifting programmes for UK and BENELUX programmes.
- Digital marketing: plan, develop, and execute engaging email marketing campaigns that align with campaign objectives, including managing UK + BENELUX newsletter content. Manage and optimise paid LinkedIn campaigns alongside marketing operations in order to drive brand awareness, engagement, and lead generation.
- Copywriting: write compelling copy for email marketing, blogs, case studies, event invitations, social media, and other marketing materials.
- Reporting and metrics: track, analyse, and report on campaign performance. Use insights to recommend optimisations for future campaigns.
- Collaboration: work closely with the sales, insights and marketing operations team to ensure alignment between marketing efforts and sales objectives. Manage external vendor and partnership relationships when needed.
- Commitment to Sustainability & Inclusion: Contribute to Blis’ inclusion initiatives and 5-step sustainability plan.
Skills and experience
- 2-5 years marketing experience, ideally (but not essential) within the advertising or tech sectors, with regional experience of the EMEA market.
- Ability to grasp and communicate a highly technical product and get to grips with the fast-moving adtech industry.
- Proactive, fizzing with creative ideas about how we can connect with our clients in creative ways that cut through.
- Highly organised, focused and adept at managing multiple work streams independently.
- Commercial acumen – understanding our client landscape and ability to balance where marketing can add most value versus resource input.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, adept at both promotional copywriting as well as longer-form content.
- Experience with automation platforms (we currently use Zoho) and website management (Wordpress).
- Experience with digital advertising campaigns, e.g LinkedIn targeting and optimisation.
- Creative flair and ability to partner with design team on imaginative executions that stand out.
- Proven track record of collaboration and creating strong partnerships internally with marketing, sales and product teams, as well as external partners.
- UK passport or visa to travel to Blis regional hub in Amsterdam (possibly Rome/Milan).
