Job Description
About us:
Established in 1876, Blinkhorns serves some 3500 individuals and owner managed businesses. Our client base is predominantly drawn from the media and entertainment sectors, in particular film, television and theatre. We also provide services to clients involved in other areas such as the motorsport, property investment, retail, charity and service sectors.

Role:
Duties include;
- Manage a subset of clients within an equity partner’s client portfolio.
- Project manage client work and oversee all aspects of client engagement including billing and day to day queries from clients.
- Review corporate, sole trader and rental accounts prepared by junior team members
- Finalisation of accounts and corporate tax returns in both FRS 105 and FRS 102
- Finalisation of sole trader accounts and income tax returns
- Manage workflow and ensure accounts and tax returns are prepared and filed on time
- File accounts with Companies House and HMRC
- Drive continuous improvement of internal processes
- Support partner with day to day ad hoc queries
- Research and assistance with more technical areas
- Direct and proactive involvement in team management and the training of junior team members
- Participation in management meetings
Essential Skills and Experience
- ACA or ACCA qualified (minimum 4+ yrs post qualification)
- At least 4 years experience of working in a medium sized practice
- Strong technical ability
- Excellent communication skills
- System skills: Microsoft Excel & Office
- Good team player able to interact at all levels of organisation
- Ability to develop strong working relationships with clients
- The ability to work under minimal supervision and under pressure is essential
Preferable but not essential
- CCH Accounts Production, Corporation Tax and Personal Tax
- XeroandQuickbooks
- An interest in the Film & TV industry
- Awareness of creative tax relief incentives
