Blink is an employee app for frontline workers, with industry-leading engagement and a DAU of 99%. We are scaling our platform through innovation, precision, and automation. As part of our world-class engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in building intuitive, impactful user interfaces that support frontline workers globally.
Role
As a Front End Engineer at Blink, you will work within a cross-functional squad to develop and enhance the user interface of our platform. Your work will focus on creating fast, responsive, and accessible web applications, while collaborating with designers and product managers to ensure a seamless user experience. You will also help shape the future of our frontend stack by introducing best practices and optimising our development processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Frontend Solutions: Design and build efficient, reusable, and responsive UI components using modern web technologies. You will work with TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and React (or similar frameworks) to deliver high-quality frontend features.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with designers, backend engineers, and product managers to deliver cohesive product features, focusing on the user experience.
- Code Quality and Testing: Write clean, maintainable, and testable code while ensuring performance optimisation. Participate in code reviews and use automated testing tools to guarantee the stability and performance of the UI.
- Contribute to Frontend Architecture: Provide input on frontend architecture and work to continuously improve the frontend codebase, processes, and tooling to enhance development efficiency and product scalability.
Requirements
About You
- Strong knowledge of TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience with React (or similar frameworks), and tools such as Redux Toolkit, RTK/Tanstack Query, React Router, Webpack/Rspack, Cypress/Playwright, Next.js, Node.js, and GitHub Actions.
- A solid understanding of web development best practices, including responsive design, accessibility, and performance optimisation.
- A passion for building clean, maintainable, and testable code.
- A self-starter attitude, eager to learn and thrive in a high-functioning team.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience working cross-functionally with designers and backend engineers.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering user-centric solutions.
