Contract: Fixed‑term 24 months

Work Pattern: Full Time, 35 hours per week (0.8‑FTE part‑time also accepted)

Salary: £34,408 per annum

Location: Northern Ireland (hybrid, 2 days in Belfast BT15 office)

Responsibilities

  • Embed children and young people’s voices in research and participation initiatives.
  • Design and conduct primary, secondary, qualitative and quantitative research projects.
  • Apply youth participation practice to support seldom‑heard children and young people in influencing systems change.
  • Deliver a range of projects and programmes on topics such as social care and transition to adulthood, education, mental health & wellbeing, child poverty, youth violence and early years.
  • Collaborate with senior colleagues in the Research and Participation teams to implement evidence‑generation and implementation work.

Qualifications

  • Experience in designing and conducting research, both qualitative and quantitative.
  • Demonstrated youth participation practice and ability to engage seldom‑heard voices.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a high‑performing team.
