Warehouse Operator/Inspector in Great Chesterford

Great Chesterford Full-Time Remote
Blighter

We are seeking a versatile, proactive, and hands‑on Stores & Inspection Person to take ownership of our warehouse operations and component entry.

About Us:

We are a dynamic, rapidly growing radar technology company at the forefront of our industry. As we scale our operations and develop cutting‑edge systems, our team needs to adapt and evolve, creating an exciting environment where no two days are the same. We pride ourselves on our collaborative culture and offer genuine, long‑term opportunities for career progression as the business expands.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a versatile, proactive, and hands‑on Stores & Inspection Person to take ownership of our warehouse operations and component entry. In this role, you will manage the end‑to‑end flow of materials—from receiving and inspecting incoming technical parts to controlling stock levels and preparing outgoing shipments. Because we are growing, we need someone who is happy to wear multiple hats and eagerly step outside their traditional job description to support the wider team when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all goods‑in processes, including unloading deliveries, checking paperwork, and booking items into the inventory system.
  • Perform goods‑in quality inspections on technical components to ensure they meet company standards (full training provided).
  • Oversee the goods‑out process, ensuring all high‑value products and radar systems are securely packed, accurately labelled, and dispatched on time.
  • Maintain strict stock control, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring accurate inventory levels.
  • Keep the stores and warehouse environment safe, clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
  • Assist other departments and tackle ad‑hoc tasks as the business requires—maintaining a flexible, “can‑do” approach to new challenges.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Experience in a warehouse, stores, or stock control environment desirable.
  • An engineering background or the ability to understand technical drawings is highly beneficial, though not essential.
  • A strong eye for detail and quality‑focused mindset.
  • Good IT literacy, preferably with experience using inventory or ERP software.
  • A flexible and versatile mindset – you genuinely enjoy variety and trying new things.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.

What We Offer:

  • Full training provided on our specific radar systems, components, and inspection processes.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • A supportive, fast‑paced, and innovative working environment.
  • Clear paths for long‑term career progression and professional development as the company scales.
