Family Summary: Family with one toddler located in Muswell Hills. Seeking a caring and experienced nanny to join their family and help nurture their 2 year old son.
Job Description: Nanny, you will provide a safe, engaging, and loving environment for their son. they are looking for someone who is passionate about fostering development at this crucial age through play-based learning and age-appropriate activities.
Responsibilities
- Childcare: Provide full-time care for their son, including: Diapering, dressing and potty training; Preparing healthy snacks; Maintaining a clean and organized play area; Planning and executing age-appropriate activities that support his development; Ensuring his safety and well-being at all times; Reading to him and engaging in interactive play; Taking him on outings to parks, playgroups, or other child-friendly activities (weather permitting).
- Developmental Focus:
- Gross Motor Skills: Encourage active play, both indoors and outdoors, to develop gross motor skills such as walking, running, climbing, and jumping. This could include trips to the park, playing with balls, and engaging in movement games.
- Fine Motor Skills: Provide activities that promote fine motor development, such as puzzles, building blocks, drawing, and simple arts and crafts.
- Language Development: Engage in frequent conversations, sing songs, read books, and introduce new vocabulary to stimulate language acquisition.
- Cognitive Development: Introduce age-appropriate toys and games that encourage problem-solving, exploration, and creativity.
- Social-Emotional Development: Foster a nurturing and supportive environment where our son feels safe to express his emotions. Help him learn about sharing, taking turns, and interacting with others.
Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience working with toddlers (at least 3 years preferred)
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 in Childcare preferred
- First Aid/CPR: Certified in infant/child CPR and First Aid
- Communication: Excellent communication skills and ability to provide regular updates on our child’s progress and activities
- Reliability: Punctual, responsible, and committed to providing consistent care
- Energy and Enthusiasm: A positive and energetic attitude with a genuine love for working with young children
- References: Excellent references from previous families
- DBS check within the last year or on the update service
Additional Details
- Hours: 45 hrs per week, Monday to Friday (8:45 AM – 5:45 PM)
- Start Date: after Sep
- Compensation: 19-21 GBP gross per hour
