Two lovely well-behaved children, a girl aged 12 and a boy aged 10, living in East Finchley are looking for a caring, bubbly person as a nanny. Their daughter attends Northbridge school in Hampstead, and their son Heathside Prep also in Hampstead village.
During school times, they would require you to come to their house, cook an evening meal for the children, pick up the children, do homework, and keep them busy and entertained until the parents get home from work. So term times are 1pm-7pm every day. Holidays are full time – from 8 till 6. Overall, the hours would be considered full time throughout the year.
This role is open to someone who wants to be part of a warm loving family, and who is flexible and open-minded. Travel could be required. They would want you to engage their children and keep them entertained and interested while having fun. They have a car for your use, so driving is essential.
You would plan playdates, camps, and activities during holidays. Homework needs to be thought about and planned for every day. Their son is starting the 11+ exams and the daughter requires revision for exams, so constant input is needed. They also want a nanny who can encourage downtime by reading together or playing outside where possible.
They do have a cleaner but would expect some light help around the house and various jobs surrounding the running of the house.
This is an exciting challenging role that requires a lot of planning and thought. Communication with the children and parents is key to the role.
Qualifications:
- Enhanced DBS check
- First aid certificate
