The role
An opportunity has arisen to add a financial due diligence senior manager to our fast‑growing London‑based Transaction Services team. The role will suit a client and team focused, experienced financial due diligence (FDD) practitioner, coming from a dedicated FDD team. The candidate will have a proven track record of delivering commercially focused, insightful buy and sell‑side FDD reports to a mix of corporate and private equity clients, including leading the associated field work and client and target interactions.
The ideal candidate would have experience across a range of target sectors (business services, industrial manufacturing, real estate, technology & media, retail & consumer, and health care), be familiar with large data sets, be driven and passionate about upskilling junior members, and have familiarity with AI in the workplace. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical and commercially minded, familiar with quality of earnings analysis, all elements of the EV‑to‑equity bridge and reviewing financial forecasts, with an eye to value creation opportunities. Experience reviewing completion accounts and SPAs would be an advantage. The candidate must hold an ACA, CA, ACCA or international equivalent qualification, understand typical risk management, liability and KYC requirements, and ideally have at least four to five years of dedicated FDD experience. Key responsibilities and duties
- Taking responsibility for the delivery of high‑quality, clear and concise FDD reports.
- Overseeing the creation of informative analysis of historical and forecast trading performance, working capital and cash flows.
- Preparing and delivering high‑quality proposals, including development of scopes.
- Being the first point of contact for many clients and target management teams.
- Managing the onboarding of clients and the associated risk management.
- Assisting with lead advisers, lenders, W&I insurers, etc., including any associated risk management.
- Liaising with our M&A tax colleagues and other specialist teams.
- Recruitment, supervision and training of junior staff.
- Supporting our business development activities, including developing internal and external networks.
