What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading sell-side private client tax advice on business disposals, share sales, group reorganisations, and exits.
- Advising founders and shareholders on pre-sale planning, including CGT mitigation, BADR, trust planning, and succession.
- Acting as a trusted adviser to entrepreneurs and families at pivotal moments in their personal and professional lives.
- Driving and originating new work by leveraging existing relationships and developing new ones.
- Collaborating closely with corporate tax colleagues and a trusted professional network to deliver integrated transaction advice.
- Playing a key role in shaping strategy, mentoring senior colleagues, and building future talent.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience operating at Partner or Director level within Private Client or Transaction Tax.
- A recognised adviser to entrepreneurs, owner-managed businesses, and their shareholders, with a strong personal and professional reputation.
- Demonstrable track record of originating, leading, and delivering complex sell-side private client tax mandates.
- Established market presence with the ability to influence, advise, and build trust at board and shareholder level.
- Ambition to help deliver and grow a market-leading private client proposition.
- Appropriate professional qualifications and standing to operate at UK Private Client Tax Partner level.
We’re looking for an experienced UK Private Client Tax Partner with deep expertise in sell-side transaction tax to join our growing Entrepreneurs team in the Private Client practice. This is a genuine opportunity to work alongside the Head of Entrepreneurs and play a leading role in advising entrepreneurs, owner-managed businesses, family shareholders and UHNW individuals during the life cycle of their business, and in particular on complex exit events — from pre-sale structuring through to completion and post-transaction planning. You’ll have the platform, autonomy and support to help deliver a market-leading proposition, working closely with entrepreneurial focussed colleagues across the business.
