An opportunity to add a VAT Director to our fast‐growing London‐based VAT team of 14. You will form an essential part of the leadership team of Partners and Directors and will be instrumental in shaping the future success of the team. This role offers a clear opportunity for further career progression.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Lead the delivery of high‐quality VAT advisory services across a broad client base, ensuring technical excellence and pragmatic, empathetic outcomes.
- Take ownership of a portfolio of existing clients, building trusted relationships and acting as day‐to‐day senior contact.
- Drive business development: identify opportunities, shape proposals, and convert leads to help grow the indirect tax practice.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience as a VAT adviser (CTA qualified) with 15+ years' experience, able to provide pragmatic, technically robust advice.
- Strong all‐rounder: specific sector experience is not essential.
- Commercially minded, client‐focused, comfortable working with a diverse client base ranging from large multinationals to entrepreneurial businesses.
- Confident leader who enjoys coaching and developing others and thrives in a collaborative environment.
Key Experience and Capabilities
- Proven ability to develop strong relationships with internal colleagues across other service lines.
- Strong business development skills, with a track record of identifying opportunities and helping to grow our indirect tax practice.
- Able to hit the ground running, taking responsibility for a portfolio of existing clients.
- Experience leading engagements, managing risk, and ensuring technical quality and excellent client service.
