Role
You will be responsible for the following:
- Assisting the senior leadership team with running the team from a staffing perspective
- Providing an efficient, client‑focussed and proactive service to meet the needs of clients
- Owning relationships relating to outsourcing services with a significant portfolio of clients
- Ensuring wider stakeholder awareness of client activity given others in the firm will be providing services to and/or will own the high‑level relationships with many of the clients
- Coaching more junior members of the team to develop their client‑management skills
- Acting as mentor and appraiser for more junior members of the team
- Managing financial relationships with clients, including recovery, debtor and work in progress
- Ensuring that the company’s risks are managed appropriately

Qualifications and Experience
Client contacts will be members of the accounting team from ledger clerks to CFO (with a focus on the latter). You must be able to handle accounting queries and reassure clients. The nature of the work will require you to be a qualified member of an accounting body with eligibility to have a practising certificate or equivalent and to have worked in a practice environment in a client‑facing role within the last five years.
