We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, experienced candidate who can provide operational waste management, waste technical guidance and porter management to a large hospital in London. The successful candidate will be a team player who can liaise with the client to identify, develop and implement service improvements.
Responsibilities
- Provide operational support and technical guidance to enable the hospital to comply with national waste regulations and management policy.
- Apply knowledge of porter and waste services in hospitals and address the daily operational challenges and opportunities.
- Influence and educate staff and service providers in regard to their waste management responsibilities.
- Reduce waste arising and related costs, and increase opportunities to re-use and recycle throughout the site.
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of waste legislation.
- Specialist knowledge of Healthcare waste management.
- Experience of effective management of budgets.
- Experience working in the NHS in relevant fields or in a post related to waste management in large and complex organisations.
